Not at the moment. Ireland has always been the first to make noise about any Israeli action in the Middle East. I don’t expect to see any improvement in the short-term and if Sinn Fein gets into government, things could get worse.
Almost! It is certainly no longer able to hold sway over the political side of things. There are still some residual problems because on paper, the Catholic Church still owns many schools and hospitals. But generally, their power has been broken and they are slowly learning that they need to adapt to modern society.
