How to watch

This lecture starts on 11 November at 7:00pm (UK).

Summary

Yanky describes his father Eli’s firsthand experience during the Night of Broken Glass as he watched his neighborhood synagogue reduced to rubble beneath his window. 75 years later, as the sole survivor of the synagogue, Eli was the guest speaker at its rededication. Yanky’s talk also includes details of a unique exhibition in Berlin that highlighted how Ireland was the only country with an embassy in Berlin on Kristallnacht to praise the Nazi pogrom.
