Jews in Vienna 1815
How to watch
Summary
Journey back to the pivotal era after the defeat of Napoleon when the victorious powers met in Vienna for many months to create a new world order. Ironically, even though Jews could not own property and faced a myriad of restrictions, the greatest and most lavish entertainments for the leaders of government were the balls and soirées given by wealthy Jewish bankers and their wives. This was the beginning of the lure of the gentile world with all its dangers and opportunities, which are still unresolved today.
